History
The Stoddard Baptist Home opened its doors more than a century ago, in 1902. Originally, it was a retirement home for Baptists ministers and their wives or their widows. The first residents were eight elders who were seeking a place of comfort and security.
Although we’ve expanded our mission, Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home remains dedicated to providing elders with a safe and secure place to call home. And while the Stoddard Baptist has grown to include other healthcare communities, Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home remains the flagship of the Stoddard Baptists organization.
Today, we’re nursing and medical care facility caring for hundreds of Washington-area seniors each year. Our mission has always been to serve those in need with compassion, dignity and grace.
